In order to rescue a mother cat, this small boy has climbed a tree by means of a dangerous conglomeration of objects — a ladder is haphazardly placed with only one leg on a box. The box balances on books and a ball, which are atop a leaning barrel as it totters on its rocky foundation. Beneath the tree, two kittens, the father cat, and a young girl observe. Hidden in this picture is the image of a loving angel whose hands are about to embrace and indeed "rescue" the boy. That is the true rescue. It is a story within a story, complete with humor, brilliant autumn colors and a theme of hope.
