R TOURTE’s Album on Greece contains water-color repros of The Aegean Isles mainly but 10% of
mainland Greece, i.e Classical Athens, etc. Album’s overall size 14” x 11” (35 x 27.5 cms).
The repros vary in size from 11.5” x 7.5” down to a 3.5” x 2.5” miniature and were mounted by the
artist himself on fine, matte-finished art paper, each repro placed within a blind- embossed mount.
Thickness ca 1.5” and weight 2 kgs, the Album is hard bound in hand-loomed woven material.
There is no text, each subject being numbered and identified, with extra index in both English/Greek.
A 1952 publication, contains 94 water-color (gouaches) repros, in 61 one-sided pages.
The Album is placed into a hard dust-jacket, since publication back in 1952.
Condition: Book&Album as issued (50 years ago).First and only Edition,
Unused, Rare.
