Artist Bio
DONNA ALDRIDGE
Donna Aldridge is an international award-winning painter with works in galleries and private and corporate collections in twenty-five countries. The artist is well known for her landscapes and luscious still life compositions. She also paints the human figure and is highly regarded as a portrait painter.
Donna's use of rich color combined with a dynamic play of light and shadow results in compositions of enchanting wild-flower filled meadows and paths that draw the eye of the viewer into the landscape. Her painterly technique combines transparent layers of paint with lush brushstrokes that enrich the painting's surface.
The artist is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the first member of the Mid America Pastel Society to be awarded both Signature and Master Pastel status. She has received numerous awards for her paintings including the Best of Show at the Third Annual Plein Air Event in Kansas City, Pastel Painters of Cape Cod, First Place in the Boulder Art Association's 11th National Juried Exhibition and the Pastel Society of the West Coast, 16th International Open Exhibition.
