Clark Huling has won many awards and honors for his artwork that captures the spirit of the European continent with a hint of Spanish influence.
Huling’s artistic talent has developed and re-developed throughout the years. This talent was first recognized during first-grade by his teacher, Sigmund Ivanowski, who stressed to his pupil the importance of mastering basic skills. In the fall of 1944, Huling’s enrolled at Harvard College, majoring in physics. After graduation, he set out for New Mexico to work on the Manhattan Project. However, ill health cost him the opportunity and brought him back to the art world. A one-man show of his work at the Louisiana Art Commission galleries launched his career as an illustrator and designer. But by 1956, he turned to landscapes as his chosen medium of artistic expression
