One of a series of works based on photographs of winter scenes I took on the same day that I finished the pieces (28th February 2006) They were all taken on the high moors around my wife Su's tiny village school on Stanton Moor at around 6.45 am, after dropping her off and returning home. This is taken from beside the school entrance looking towards the Chatsworth moorlands in the distance. The was a ciold ewesterly wind blowing gently and chilling my bones.
