Framed pieces do show well, and to be honest, having a trunk at a trunk show, would be unique, especially with art stashed all around it and inside of it...however, I'd contact the gallery director and ask her what the theme is, if any, and what their goal of the show is.(How large is the show, how many artists are show casing, and or are you the one they are featuring?)
In all cases tho, you won't go wrong in just showing up with your work, as the art speaks for itself, but it is nice to know how many pieces to have on hand.
Best of luck!
;-)
