Judith Geiger Donlon creates her images by combining various processes and techniques including photography, drawing, image transfer and digital montage. Her work has been called “wordless visual Zen poems.” Each giclée print has been carefully reproduced on quality, acid-free paper and hand signed and numbered by Judith.
The first one evokes a sence of "past memories"...very modern edge by playing on the the receding of the main image by asubtle grey shift with a reversal of the texture over the color block. .. I like the right justification of the text which draws the eye back to the image. ... I like how your name is in a nice thick san serif type and how the overall type is positioned in such a way that there is a subtle suggestion that it is a part of that aged crack.....my only suggestion is to perhaps change the serif type to something with a more nostalgic feel to echo the overall mood of this piece.
That is however, just a personal taste of mine :)
THe second card evokes a more "sensual" feeling to it's overall approach.
Once again, excellent typography here...both the san and serif type works in this application beautifully. Lovely colorations..... now with this one I think the texture behind the type is in an off color and competes with the overall esthetic look.... If you could pick up on a light tawny cream color in the image and use that as a textural- watermark in the color block it would bring harmony to the entire peice. :)
Either of these peices would be perfect depended of course to the mood that you are trying to convey. I wish you much success in your show and once again beautifully done. :)
