. . . more subdued monotonal light-brown works best for ME as a postcard.

Your name in white type pops out immediately, while the image "caresses it" just the right amount with a sort of laid-back interest.


The bolder, more scarlet-toned image with darker type is too "heated" somehow. Even though it stands out first with more intensity, it's the sort of intensity that slaps you in the face instead of inviting you to look at it enthusiastically.

And about the type face, I'd say leave it as is for perfect Readability.
