I recently recieved a e mail from a man who wished to buy one of my paintings for $3000.00. I have never sold a work for that price and paused a moment to ask myself "What is the safest way to sell a painting" or "what is the safest way to recieve payment". Again, I'm not used to working with that amount of money. I have read horrible stories of artists who were tricked, scamed, ect. I know better than to provide personal banking information. I ended up writing back asking if the buyer could arrange a Western Union money transfer. I don't know if this is the safest way to recieve payment,its the best I could think of. Some of you that are more experienced in the bussiness side of art, I would appreciate your ideas and advice
