Writer's and painter's share in common creative blocks, especially when facing a blank canvas or sheet of paper. Sometimes it is due to the wax and wane of creative energy, or simply a pyschological phenomena that both writer's and painter's face from time to time...almost like being in a state of impotence!
Creativity is like ocean tides, but only they're not really mathematically predictable. The good news is that through discipline, you can train your "artistic tide" to come in during a regular period of the day. And this IS HARD WORK, but if you stick to it the tides will comply and be mostly regular...and regularity is key to a happy life.

Charles
