but graphic design is something of an addiction for me—hence, the name, Designhead. Sometimes, on my days off, I just HAVE to have a creative puzzle to solve. I love crossword puzzles too and I think its a similar thing. When I was a kid, I used to make wooden painted signs for outside my bedroom (Welcome, Not Welcome,...), in elementary and Jr. High school I loved making posters and displays for my projects. It's the only reason that I got into the Science Fair every year ---I mean blood-typing, Ph of household products—ooh, cutting edge science. If I don't have a project, then I have to rearrange a room.

BUT, when I went to college for graphic art, I decided that maybe I was more of a fine artist because I like to perfect the little details, whereas, in graphic art you always have a time crunch. I would stay up all night on my homework assignments. The teachers would say, "it doesn't have to be THIS good." But how can you not keep working 'til it's perfect? Its not finished 'til its finished. So, I quit art school, majored in environmental studies, while doing portraits,... THEN, when the computer started to be used in graphic art I thought EWWWWWWw. But, I was rearranging the living room every other day, so I knew I had to go back. THEN, I realized that the computer could save me the time that I could use in perfecting my designs, and I could combine my design sense and my artist sensibilities—YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
