I recently acquired a large charcoal sketch of a naked women toweling off. It is in an ugly black frame. The sketch is on a thick yellowed canvas. There is a signature "Degas" in lower right corner. I have done a little research on Degas but now nothing about authenticating a work of art. Can anyone offer me any information regarding what I should do to authenticate?
