I'm 17 years old and I want to get into art when I leave school. I had the same problem as you, I started doubting myself and begun hating art. I would worry a lot about the future and what people think. I excluded myself from the rest of the world, and became depressed. It all got too much so I got HELP! Sadly, I went to the school shrink. He said I should pay more attention to my surroundings and more importantly listen to everyone else’s problems. In doing so, I realized I’m not alone, there’s not a problem that I have that someone else is experiencing or have an even bigger more serious problem. You've got to understand you can get more from other people and your surroundings than from hiding from the world, it doesn't hurt to learn something new. Art is an imitation of life, if your not living there’s no art. I've got a saying for you to think about, "Live now because today can be memories of the past or affect your future". It doesn't matter where you end up paid artist or just an artist as long as you don't give up your passion.

Good Luck!
