Hello my name is John von Schmid and I'm a sculptor. I produce life size extremely realistic sculptures that look exactly like the model that I use. When completed the viewer shouldn't be able to distinguish whether or not it is a real person standing before them. I place these figures in a position or environment which creates a social statement or question. I'm now starting a new body of work.
