I have an original Nierman, and had it about a year - I picked it up in a gallery in Vegas. It's a large piece, 24" x 32", beautifully framed. Well, I recently noticed that on the lower-left corner is a small nick in the painting - the very corner is nicked, in about a 1/4" x 3/8" x 1/2" triangle. I've got a picture of the original as it was on the wall in the gallery, and you can just see it in the pic:

The picture of the nick at close range is:

I'm not having buyer's remorse, I'm not looking to sell, or anything like that. I'm just curious about how much of a difference, if any, this makes regarding value/collectibility/etc. I've looked at other Niermans on the internet, and not all of the edges and corners are perfect. I'm just looking to get an opinion. I love the painting, and admit I do need to display it more prominently in my condo with better lighting. Any thoughts appreciated. I've tried to discuss this with the person I purchased it from, but I'm getting various answers from her: you'd need to send it to Mexico to be repaired, it's not a nick, they're all like that, he purposely didn't paint the corner, etc.
