I long ago decided not to seek support to attend as reply 28 in this thread confirms. It seems to be something of a lottery as to whether spending on attending the last Bienneale had been worth it, or not. For some artists this act of spending to accumulate paid off handsomly (sometimes in sales, more often in international contacts, and inspiration from other artists), for others it proved an expensive waste of time and money. I decided against it for a variety of reasons, not simply for financial reasons, and I believe that artists should look into it for themselves, weigh up the pros and cons (including reading all the messages in this thread), and make up their own minds on the matter.
