Subject: someguy, 2c worth
So you think if a viewer has a favorite piece it's alright
to have to click 'next' 6 times to see it again?
Same for wanting to show someone a particular work!
No serious looker is going to be enticed to return
because who wants to click ads out of the road before
being able to see the work?
The ads are a terrible distraction and make for a very
poor presentation.
Imagine your show in a "bricks and mortar" gallery...
and each hung work is accompanied by an ad...maybe
even for coca-cola or disneyland.
It wouldn't be on! You wouldn't show in a gallery
like that...nobody would....yet :)
Poor presentation and ads (and crap art) have turned what was
once a promising interested huge audience away from
the visual arts on-line.
Visual artists have really missed, big time, a great
opportunity!
Reinventing the wheel is fine...but only if it's improved.
