...but I assume that like all forms of representtion its a gamble, but more so for the artist than the gallery, since they pick up guaranteed fees whatever happens! I guess it all depends on how hard they are willing to promote your work and how much you trust them to do what they say they will. It is certainly worth asking around as you have to see if others have good/bad experiences of this gallery. Also worth putting the gallery name and other key words like 'expensive' and 'representation' into Google, or another search engine
