I guess it all depends on how hard they are willing to promote your work and how much you trust them to do what they say they will. It is certainly worth asking around as you have to see if others have good/bad experiences of this gallery. Also worth putting the gallery name and other key words like 'expensive' and 'representation' into Google, or another search engine david:>)
