You just have to realize what sort of consumer you are. If you want to buy vanity, then it is a legitimate commodity being offered, and those who can afford it have their needs met.

Add vanity to cig smoking, gambling, gum chewing, ... or any other habit that makes you feel good. Fortunately, vanity usually does not cause cancer or addiction, because eventually you figure out what you are doing, ... deciding that there are better ways to gain fulfillment from dollars spent.
