I met Marjorie Blake in the late 1960's at an Allied Arts Fair in Lancaster, California. She was a gracious lady and very willing to discuss her way of painting. I bought one of her 36" by 36" floral still lifes, and continue to enjoy it now. My next-door neighbor bought a similar one, but she remarried after her husband died, and I have lost track of her. I didn't know until today that Ms. Blake had died. The last I heard of her, she and her daughter
were living in North Hollywood, CA in the early 1990's. Yesterday, I found another of her lovely large floral still lifes on sale in a gallery in Bodega Bay,CA for anyone who is interested.
