Howdy all -
I'm traveling to Tuscany for 2 weeks at the end of September. It will be my first trip there and I'm very excited about it. I know that some of you have spent time there, perhaps even have lived there or are living there now. I speak just enough Italian to catch a train, get basic directions, order food & drink and to make present tense first person small talk a la "see spot run. run spot run".
So, I'm hoping that anyone here may offer some advice or share some of their experiences about what to see and what to avoid, etc. I'll be in Rome for 3 days, Venice for 2, and the rest of the time at a villa in Tuscany about a 35 minute drive outside of Florence.
Thanks.
Best,
