Definitely there are distributors for limited edition prints of original paintings.
But like the first reply, the first question is who is the artist. There are several galleries online that offer to distribute and broker such works.
If the artists is popular you could be able to sell outright, if it's an emerging artist, i guess you will have to be comfortable with the consignment option.
