What do you think? We are looking at doing an online gallery for
local artists and we are looking at some various options which are
listed below. We would also like your thoughts as we proceed through
this process.
We are looking at a $20 a month hosting for the first year. We would
then say charge whatever you would like for your art and just do an up
charge on our end. For example if the artwork was say $500 we would
charge say $150 with the monthly charge and the artwork would sell for
say $650 instead and you would pay the monthly charge of $20 a month.
We were also thinking we might be able to do the same idea without the
monthly charge and when the art sold we would just charge more. For
example...if the artwork was say $500 we would sell it online for
$750.
I was also thinking we could do a line of apparel with your designs in
which you would make say $5 per t shirt sold along with an invoice
every 30 days. This would be online with a link to the store for you.
We are also looking at creating a My Space site for you and having
you as an artist on our site as well.
If the monthly charge was not paid we would ask that all images of
your artwork be supplied in high resolution jpeg formats for uploading
and such to various location. The monthly charge would carry with it
a marketing and publicity package that would not be part of the
non-monthly charged ideology.
We are also looking at various other marketing and publicity ideas for
artists and such including You Tube and others.
If the artwork is out there and you make money and sell pieces we all
make money.
