Very interesting...although a bit over my head. I do love Pollock's work and find him one of the most interesting artists. He sounds like was a very depressed person and perhaps his artwork was a result of that torment. Have you seen the 2006 documentary "Who the F*** is Jackson Pollock?" It is about a woman truck driver in her 70's who purchased what may be an original Pollock at a thrift store for $5. I watched it a couple of months ago and laughingly joked about it because I could not believe it was for real. But it is, and it has the expert who authenticates Pollock artworks. (I won't give his opinion away). The woman is a hoot! I have a piece that was created during the "drip period". I am sure it is not a Pollock piece. But before I research it, I am living in fantasy land for awhile and telling myself that it could be :)
The fluid art pieces you have are amazing and I was just reading about fluid artwork yesterday, so found your post especially helpful.
Thank you.
