I purchased a serigraph on canvas of Leroy neiman's Philadelphia Flyers (Boston Bruins) painting. It is no. 5/20 and signed by Neiman in pencil .
The odd thing is it is on canvas. I purchased this from a divorce sale about 20 years ago and would like to sell it. Also there is a line of color dashes on the bottom of the canvas. These look like the colors used in the picture.
I kind of remember the seller telling me that Mr. Neiman needed some extra cash and had the 20 made. This is not a joke. This was bought through a art Broker and sold by a well to do family, but at the time the story was not that important to me. All the websites I emailed sell Newman posters or litho and say Neiman never printed on canvas but I know it was done. This was taking out of a vault with other Neimans when I purchased it. Who knows? What do you think? Is there anyway to contact Mr.Neiman directly? Any info will be useful. Thanks for you time.
