Hey there,

We're trying to identify this piece of artwork. It is a 23 ˝ x 19 inch painting on heavy, beige paper. There is no signature and nothing on the reverse. It is simply red and black.

The painting was acquired in Palm Springs, CA in or around 2001, from an art dealer who had a gallery/warehouse (in Palm Springs). The art dealer had previously worked in New York, and looked a lot like Woody Allen's dad (self-admitted by him). We believe his shop/gallery/warehouse/dealership was called 'Masterpiece-something' or 'Master-something' (we've looked at Modern Masters of Fine/Signed, we're pretty sure that's not it). Obviously, we don't remember his name, unfortunately.

The painting has water damage on the left hand side of the piece - this was present when the painting was acquired.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation!
