Flame Run Gallery & Hot Shop in Louisville Kentucky is soliciting entries for their upcoming exhibit "Twist & Shout" a juried show of glass art inspired by the Beatles. The exhibit will be run in conjunction with Louisville's annual Beatle's Festival, "Abbey Road on the River", a Beatles festival that drew 25,000 people to Louisville last year. "Twist & Shout" is a nationally publicized exhibit, showcasing the region’s best contemporary glass gallery with artist demonstrations, a large reception and other PR opportunities, including mention on Flame Run’s Web site, www.flamerun.com. Awards will be given in various categories for best of show.
The entries are open to contemporary glass artists and 3 pieces may be submitted per artist. All art should be based on a Beatles theme and artists must provide the following for each submitted piece: description and techniques, title, process (sand cast/blown), photos of piece in jpg or tiff format, and whether the piece is for sale/price of piece.
