The first e-mail, it sounded legitimate:

Question: Hello .im an art dealer .I would like to know if the (Swamp Sunset $1200) is still available for sale .kindly get back to me with an email.best regards
so naturally I responded. This particular message could have been a legitimate interested buyer.
I responded:
> Dear Susan,

> Yes the Swamp Sunset is available.
> Would you like to purchase it?

Today I received this. Definitely a low life scam artist. Naturally I won't respond to that! Note, how such low life scammers try to play on sympathy. That is always a red flag. A professional dealer or someone you don't know that may be interested in your art would not add such personal stings in a business e-mail.
