Art is a vehicle to channel what you feel. Good art conveys those feelings. When I consider a piece finished, (I'm satisfied) with the results. Who needs acceptance or validation from anyone. I don't create for anyone but myself.

One thing I hate most is pretension. There is no room for that in art, yet there is so much of it here in this forum. The real artist in this community just create great works from their souls. The others (you know who you are) just challenge great work.

You cannot learn how to be talented. I was accepted in The Center for Creative Studies when I was 17 years old. I couldn't afford it; did I stop creating? NO!

I'm a less of an artist? No! It made me more hungry to create.

With all due modesty, I know that I am talented, I know that I create original, thought provoking images, I know that the real artist out there know the same about themselves. I've met them! I've seen their work! That's what it's all about!

We don't need validation from you carbon copies, cookie cutter, play by the rules " artist".

To all the Real Artist: Keep giving them hell and Shake up the prudes.

Thank you,

tonyp
