i kind of left the cafe because i didn't want to bum anyone out with my political dribblings As artist/observers our livelyhood has much to do with others expendable incomes and acceptance of art having a place in a culture filled with stock footage t.v. reality shows that inject hassling and mean spirited blabbing for dramatic content..
As you know the best way to get attention on a net chat board is to attack or start with a headline that stirs things up.As art is replaced with other forms of entertainment that rely on supplying nothing left to the imagination we find that the sociopath gets the deal and the hussle of it all takes away from time spent on art.
Over the years people have come here and tried to sell us stuff or wanted money to be in a juried show where the trophy is to be titled " Emerging Artist "/ people will come and ask how much a painting they own is worth or pick our brains about a painting without a picture of it.There have trickster trolls who have come to mess with us and try to cause fights within the community,the site has survived and still has in my judgement the best artists who are more concerned with art than tooting their own horns ......
