Born in Ottawa in 1947, I have been active in visual art since the mid-1960s. My work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in Canada, the U.S., France, Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Malaysia, and South America and is included in over 100 private and public collections in Europe, Asia, and North America. These include the Lord Eastleigh Foundation, Antwerp, Belgium; Museo Granell, Spain; Museu Vermhello, Portugal; Vancouver Art Gallery, B.C. Govt. Collection, Vancouver City Collection, Carleton University, Ottawa and Queens University, Kingston.
My work has been published in several art journals and history books and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, the Université Rabelais de Tours, France and the Accademia Tiberina in Rome in a presentation by Professor Antonio Malmo.
In Paris, my work has been published by two renowned art historians who were both colleagues of the Surrealist Group’s founder, André Breton. The first, José Pierre, included my work in his landmark book, L’Univers Surréaliste, (Editions Somogy, 1983) and in 1999, Sarane Alexandrian put a feature on me in his periodical, Supériore Inconnu.
