I saw a video of a dude on Youtube who makes art on glass and he had a countdown to either sell a certain piece or smash it (and make a video of that, of course). He sold it. I think he got alot of flack for the video (cheesey self promotion etc...)from other artists but, I say whatever gets it sold. Somehow artists got it in their head that it is beneath them to pimp their goods. I think that's so sad and wrong. We make a product (an awesome, maybe one of a kind, lovingly created, possibly spiritual piece of yourself...but, a product, if what you want to do is SELL). If you don't want to sell your stuff, great! But, if you do, you need to get it out there, any way you can...be not ashamed of self promotion... if you don't dig your stuff and you're not excited about it... why would you think anyone else would be?
