If you were a political leader trying to make decisions about "THE ARTS", then I dare say you would be hard pressed to know what the heck they are?

To speak of "THE ARTS" is to speak of "LIFE". Where do the candidates stand on "LIFE"?? It just seems too general an area for making any practical committments, without applying somebody's personal bias. I mean: Who's art are we talking about? What sort of art?

The government can't fund it all,... all approaches, all definitions, all initiatives--- it's like asking for money to support every life on Earth!

Whose bias do we use to determine appropriate funding of the arts? No wonder candidates probably groan at the thought of having to answer to this issue publically.
