Greetings all!

Some 15 years ago I inherited a Robert Wood landscape from my late grandmother.  It was purchased in the late 30s/early 40s.  I have no further provenance on the piece, but having spent the better part of 8 years working at Christie's New York I have no doubt of its authenticity.  I am going to be sending a photo of the painting to Bonham's shortly with an eye toward consigning it to their April 15, 2009 sale of American paintings.  My question for anyone is this: Is Bonham's the appropriate venue for auctioning the painting or should I be looking at another auction house (e.g., Christie's or Sotheby's) or selling it privately.  I have no idea what the painting is worth, but plan on having it appraised by Moseburg Gallery.  It is truly a magnificent landscape of, I believe, Yosemite.  Would anyone care to comment? Any help would be appreciated.  Many thanks in advance.
