Dear Sirs:
I am in possession of an etching done by J.S. Cotman of the Erpingham Gate. The inscription reads:
To the Reverend John Pretyman D.D.A.M.
This plate of the Erpingham Gate, leading to the Cathedral,
of which he is a prebendary is most respectfully dedicated by
the obedient servant J.S. Cotman
Etched by J.S. Cotman 1817
He has also included his name and date within the etching itself.
I am interested in having it appraised. Can you please assist me in terms of cost and procedure?
Sincerely - Annette Akerman
