Calling all Artists, Models and Rockers,
 The Crossroads, NJ's
premier venue for Rock and Jazz is expanding it's horizons with an
all-day Art and Music Festival on Saturday, August 22, 2009.Â
Details:
All-day festival celebrating various forms of music and art, all forms
of Rock and Visual art will be showcased. Through the fusion of art
and music this event will break through the barriers of conventional
art and music showcases, performers and artists will transform the
venue into a sensory explosion of artistic expression set to tantalize
the senses and stimulate the heart, soul and mind.Â
Theme:
Name will be announced shortly, the theme of the
event is to showcase art and music as collaborative forms of expression
and therefore there are no barriers in this exhibition. Pieces,
artists and music will be selected as a way to make this event a
festival of expression where participants can experience the art and
music worlds in ways that appeal to novices and connoisseurs alike.Â

Indoor and outdoor performance space

The Crossroads requires 25% commission of all works sold, selected
artists will receive VIP and special benefits for the night as well as
website showcasing opportunities.Â
Seeking the following, all forms of art will be considered, the indoor
and outdoor spaces will be manipulated for standard and temporary
site-specific works. All work must be original and where applicable
installation ready. This is a one-day only event but chosen works can
remain at the venue for exhibition for a period no longer than one
month.
- digital work (projectors, computer and flat screen use, wall
and floor space and outdoor wall space). Video, slide show and set
images.
- Paintings (all sizes and mediums, there is no limit to size, weight limit is 170 lbs.)
- Sculpture (wall mount, floor mount, indoor and outdoor display) - all sizes considered
- Photography
- Live art (all proposals will be considered, outdoor space is available for large scale and interactive work as well)
- Interactive Art
- Performance Art
- Body Painting - models and body painters wanted
- Site Specific works - indoor and outdoor space is available for selected artists to manipulate
- Crafts, prints, works for sale - areas will be designated for artists to sell merchandise, clothing, crafts, prints, etc.
Music: The genre is all forms of Rock, all selected performers will be given time specific sets to accommodate a myriad of acts.
