I'm looking for someone who can illustrate some flashcards for me w/ an ethnic spin. So imagine, ethnic A,B,C cards - primarily for African-Americans, but will also create Latino cards. I'm paying for this entire project from my own monies, so obviously you'll get paid a little, but love working with me, hehe! If you are a student artist looking to build your portfolio, then contact me. This is a pet project of mine. I'm a technical writer by day, but write creatively at night!
So first project:
- Here's a flavor of what I want: this link shows the TYPE of illustrations I'm looking for - SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO ON THIS POST! That's pretty much what I want drawn! I want simple, fun sketches w/ some color...

If
you look at that series about for "My Mealtime Signs" then you can see
other titles in that collection, see how they drew the babies or
kids...
Obviously I'm not an artist, I know what I like, but I don't draw! So I can show you styles of what I want to pay for!
- I will probably self-publish this stuff; I'll write the text and you draw.
I will also have it available on a Facebook site; do some free downloads; try to use social media. This is a pet project that I hope will grow into something more. Right now, its a passion project! I have a little girl and I'm trying to find culturally relevant things for her. I believe this is of interest alot of multicultural parents, so its a pet project!
- I'd probably pay you through PayPal; something safe for the both of us! Once we work together for a while, then I'd feel comfortable sending you checks in the mail, but initially I'd probably feel safer using PayPal.
