Things are looking better these days. I have a number of projects that I'm really digging working on. Those projects like MAIN that aren't necessarily my cup of tea but rather my bread and butter are even becoming a bit more interesting as I quit maintaining status quo and have begun delving into thoughts of how to make it better. (King of the super long runon sentence). My health is much better. I've maintained a workout regiem of 5 days a week. My smoking habits are still with me, but I'm working on it. I'm trying the latest greatest trick - Wellebutrin. It's supposed to make you want to hurl when you smoke. We shall see. Taking my vitamins, PAINTING, spending quality time with my lovely wife - yes 33 is a good year.
I have a show at Laguna Gloria Art Museum. It's really the Austin Museum of Art at Laguna Gloria, but I like it as Laguna. This is where I grew up thinking was the top of the heap. Sure my thoughts have changed to larger prospects, but for my heart it is an accomplishment. It's not even a show that's about me. I'm just doing the children's exhibition. The cool thing is that it's my funhouse. The place I've dreamed of inventing. Lots of things to look at. Lots of things to make you go hmmmmm. I was just looking at my landscape. It's really coming together nicely. Such a sense of space and atmosphere. Yes that's it. Atmosphere. Something about how the color changes so that up close and under the trees you don't see shade, you just sense it - atmosphere.
It looks like a rainy one today. I'm off to work on the animated movie. I've worked out, had my breakfast and am itching to get going. I'm at that point in my scene where I've laid the groundwork. Now I can begin making it cool. I look forward to a good day of drawing.
I hope I can write here more. It's good.
Love,
Nathan
