LOCAL FUNISM ARTIST TO HELP BOLSTER SAGGING ECONOMY
WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
Sal Marino, a local Fairfield County Connecticut artist known as the founder of The Funism Art Movement has created a program which is designed to provide money making opportunities for local college students. The prospect of generating spare cash for a youthful segment of the population promises to endure not only during summer recess but throughout the year. According to Marino, a business professional with over thirty years of experience, “the program gives students the chance to experience firsthand what it is like to run a small business.” In today’s sagging economy individuals, especially college students need every opportunity to gain the experience and know-how of making business decisions in a challenging environment while helping to meet ever increasing personal expenses.
The program is designed to allow motivated students an opportunity to be their own boss and benefit from marketing a line of Funism Products created by Marino with a minimal amount of investment in both time and money with up to 100%+ profit margins. The products created by Marino, a line of T-Shirts and other novelty items are his unique designs and until recently have not been available to the public. According to Marino, “These Funism designs not only appeal to a youthful market, but have universal appeal among male and female adults as well.” Steeped in social commentary with a poignant point of view, Marino’s images are peppered with a wry sense of humor and almost always garner attention and smiles. His works are held in collections throughout the United Stated and abroad.
As with any business venture, results are a direct correlation to effort, however, this is an opportunity to gain both experience and financial reward with part-time commitment. It is a “trial by fire” education which can’t be had in any classroom. At present, the full line of Funism Products are not available in stores and are only available through select channels of distribution such as the program outlined here. Although Marino anticipates an eventual saturation point of student operators which would necessitate limits to the number of students accepted to the program, the current selling field is ripe with opportunity.
