Tenure-Track Position in New Media
Open rank, tenure-track position, pending approval, in New Media program within a multi-faceted department of art servicing over 350 majors in: Cyber Art, Photography, Printmaking, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Metals, Art Education and Art History. Required: MFA, teaching experience beyond graduate school, national exhibition record, background in critical theory, extensive knowledge of Macintosh platform plus demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: multimedia, digital imaging, large format photography, studio lighting. The University of Toledo Department of Art is building a comprehensive, interdisciplinary New Media program which includes: Digital Media, Photography, Video, Film, Installation, Critical Theory. Responsibilities: working with existing faculty to shape the New Media program, teaching a variety of New Media courses, professional activity, advising, department, college, university service and community service. The University of Toledo Department of Art is housed on a dedicated campus in a Frank Gehry-designed building connected to the Toledo Museum of Art.
