Artists in panic

I find it sad and even ridiculous that (some) artists posting and the posts here as of Monday 01 Feb 1999 5:33 PST specifically those who claim to still be in college and about to graduate post to the web in search of imediate employment after graduation. Wouldn't your school, or associates in and of your school be a better place to find work? Does not every legitimate college have some sort of job placement office or program?
Also, that the artists who post and describe their work have no links for visitors to see the work. (the one individual that did was a bad link)
Show me the work!
If I were an employer, or gallery looking to hire you, I would not send e-mail and ask you to see your slide portfolio based only on your text description of your art. You would need to provide a URL where I can see the work.
This is especially true for artists who claim to have computer experience - give a URL to your work.
