Begun in 1932, the Rittenhouse Square Fine Arts Annual is one of the oldest continuing outdoor art shows in the country. Always the first Wednesday through Sunday in June, the Annual displays the works of professional artists and art students from Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Rittenhouse Square, one of four original parks laid out by William Penn's design for Philadelphia, is the lush setting for drawings, graphic art, mixed media, paintings, sculptures, and watercolors. Show runs from 10 am to 6 pm Wednesday 2 June 1999 to Sunday 6 June 1999. Artists interested in applying to jury may receive a fax application by calling 1-877-689-4112 and pressing 5 during the announcement, request document 200, when asked for phone number of receiving fax enter 1, area code, and phone number forthe fax machine.
