Crazy Days

Lies, I'm feeling you
Truth, I'm touching you
Darkness, Light, Day, Night
What it takes to step through

Sell my soul it's changing me
Can't forgive lies that destroyed me
Here I come, death, open your arms
Ready to leave I'm not alarmed

Leave me be to die in peace
Let me go, let me be alone
Don't bother with all my agonies
Go sit on your high-and-mighty throne

If this is a mountain peak
Everybody else is in the clouds
They stole the path I seek
Threw down the darkness that shrouds

My happiness means nothing to you
Never told me of the other
The other one that you love so
What about me? Don't even bother

I feel like leaving, escaping this world
I used to fly before you clipped my wings
Trapped forever, desolate planet
Let me off easy? That's what you think.

Where's the loving face I remember?
Replaced with nothing... Just the sky
I'm getting ready to offer my surrender
Then lay back, feel the calm, and die

I'm dead now, and it's all gone
The swirling madness, the crazy days
You finally happy? I'm finally done
Down for good, out of your way.
