e-this, an new e-book publisher, is seeking graphic artists to design covers for their clients.
They are offering to refer authors for cover design work to an artist who associates with them in exchange for 3 generic cover designs that they can offer (free) to authors. They are also willing to set up a referral link with the artist's own logo on the e-this site.
Doris has also suggested this fee schedule:
$300-$500 for a 4x6 (tif 600 dpi) cover design.
And will state "Most artists ask 30 days to get the work
done and don't begin working until they have received
a 50% deposit for a custom design. It is also
possible to select a web-ready design from an artist's
portfolio for about $100. eWorks authors deal
directly with the artists through the links shown
below."
And they are also looking for listings of inexpensive ($39 covers) as an alternative for people who can't afford the kind of investment noted above.
e-this will take no comission (normally 30%) from author referrals in exchange for the free cover offerings.
