This sounds wonderful, as long as it's not a gallery in the same vein as Agora or Montserrat; artists can expect to put out about $1,600 ("showcase" or "representation" fee) up front to even get in the door of their galleries, and that's once you're accepted. Please don't take this personally, but do you work on a rental or commission basis?
