I am a young artist, college educated to become an art teacher but more and more, I am leaning towards painting, full time. My recent style has emerged as becoming a melting pot of artistic styles. I follow the rules of cubism, futurism, fauvism and expressionism in one artwork. I use themes from virtually every realm of art, which are all spiritual. I believe that artistic expression is spawned from Divinity and is essential for human survival. My expressions come out of my soul in a magical way that I cannot explain, but I must nurture it and let it flow, for I feel I would explode, otherwise. I am lonely in my feelings of such, though, as most artists do their thing to make a buck. Divinity of Artistic Expression falls by the wayside as others try to please the masses. I am like VanGogh in the way the eventhough his work was deemed unsuccessful during his time on Earth, he remained true to his soulfully Divine expressions, regardless. I have only tested the waters of the public eye, so I cannot attest to my potential for success as a professional artist, but do know that I cannot comprimise the need to express my artistic soul. I must create art for the world, to bring others closer to that Divinity within me and to the Divinity within themselves. This, I believe is why we make artistic works and why it is so magical and joyful to create and experience.
