Bob:

I disagree. It was hardly a BIG mistake, given the proliferation of 'sickly-sweet' Rockwell images, and the scarcity of the 'other' kind.

As I said, I didn't base my impressions of Rockwell on one or two images; I've seen countless prints of his paintings, and several books containing reproductions of his work.

Just now, I perused three on-line sites featuring his art--including the Rockwell museum, which purports to span his entire career--and looked at over 250 images of exactly the kind of work I described as being--in my opinion--representative of his art.

This doesn't mean that other kinds of Rockwell imagery don't exist, but it does mean that they are hard to find, and not the norm. The kind of work I apparently haven't seen, is not the artwork which those promoting Rockwell, choose to feature most prominently.

So, I'm still looking, but haven't found any of the 'other' Rockwell...

...yet.

Keith.
