LAHH brought up a good point a while back when asking if this committee is for the purpose of just putting the physical reunion together every 5 years or is it one that we can continue to maintain contact (or pursue maintaining contact) with our classmates on a on-going basis.

I do think that the website (we're working on it)will help keep people connected, but who wants to be connected and who really couldn't care less? Heck, I didn't even know or had classes with probably 30% of our class, (may never have passed them in all those hallways either!) but it certainly doesn't mean I wouldn't like to get to know them now.

Maybe it's just my curiosity as a creative person, but it would be so interesting to find out what roads we have all traveled all of these years. (Classmate Gene M., who I've shared a couple of emails with recently is wondering the same thing. He's in a creative industry also, so maybe it IS a creative thing/curiousity)

And as LAHH also previously mentioned, how far does our role go, should someone from our committee be the one to keep one ear to the ground and when we get word of one of our classmates passing on, that the committee should be the ones to send out a note of condolence? What else as a class could we be doing, and should the "reunion" committee be the one to instigate us as a class, doing anything, besides getting together in one place every five years.

Personally I think we should be, but I've been in the situation before that I've wanted or have thought that a "group" should be the ones to pursue this type of thing, but I was the only one to have that thought.

I think about this whole "group" thing and have to chuckle. I was the last person in high school to be a part of anything remotely associated with a group. I didn't have more than two seats ever in my car for just that reason! Now I don't mind groups, or working with groups, or being a part of a group.

Maybe everyone is too busy to be concerned with these types of aspects/projects for this committee? Any thoughts? kTd
