Summer Of Dreams

Eyes closed,
hair of sunflower gold.
Dreams captured by her soul,
as she dances with Van Gogh,
beneath a Summer sky of Starry night blue.
White heather gives off the scent of heaven so near,
yet so far, as if a star.
Water lilies take space on the pond
where once ice formed and covered all
from view.
But now Summer and the haze of
the milky way can be seen so clear,
so brilliant as the dew
come morning time,
shine like the rhyme of poetry lines.
Bittersweet dreams can take her to his arms!
Was he more artist than man or more man than a legend?
Only she knows of such things in her summer of dreams,
and they danced,
and they danced,
and she whispered to him
never let me go Van Gogh!
